Still A Stranger Here

Still A Stranger Here is the new album from Postindustrial Poets, released on 31 October 2025. Still A Stranger Here the song has already been released as a single - and has grown to be the most listened track by the band over recent months. It reguarly gets a thousand daily listeners on Amazon Music, most of them returning frequently. Naming the new album after the song was a no brainer!

Still A Stranger Here (the track) is a track drenched in blues/deep soul influences - but with a contemporary feel. Some people mention  Hozier, Amy, and Nick Cave when they listen - but it is its own thing!

The second track shares that blues-inpsired feel , minor key feel: still you call her number, from some lonely breakfast cafe/ but she doesn't answer and you wouldn't know what to say.

But the Poets have some fun moments too. Never more so than on I Gave You My Disease - an outrageously tongue-in-cheek account of a long love story. That's When You Blew My Mind tells another love story, over a background of Byrds-influenced jangly guitars. It's a love story as travelogue too - from a chance meeting in Moscow to a road trip to the Pacific Coast of South America.

The album also features the seriously chilled A Girl Called Winter - a laid back fusion of hip hop rhythms and jazz-flavoured guitar and the socially charged lyrics of Weeping for the World.

Below you will find audio files for some of the tracks on the album - and video clips extracts from two of the songs, with a commentary through subtitles. there is also an inquiry form, so get in touch if you have any questions, want an interview or anything else!

And of course until it is released, it can be pre-saved. This is the link!
